\nOn Wednesday 19th Web Directions East has t he pleasure of presenting “Type Matters” by John Boardley (of www.ilovetypo graphy.com fame)\, at Apple Ginza. In his speech John will discuss where le tters come from\, the history of typography\, why typography matters\, and how we can all create better typographic pages. If that’s not incentive eno ugh\, he will also be giving stuff away. The speech will be in English with Japanese interpretation.
\n\nUnfortunately due to fire regulations o nly 180 people will be able to attend. Doors will open from 18:30 for the f irst 180 people who registered on http://atnd.org/events/3819\, and to ever yone from 18:50 if there are still seats. We will announce when the venue i s full using the Twitter hashtag #wdx.\n
\n\nWe will hold about five WDE-Express events this year\, and three attendees will be given *free* tic kets to the Web Directions East conference in November. Thank you in advanc e for your cooperation and we look forward to seeing you on Wednesday!\n

5月19日（水）19時〜20時まで、タイポグラフィーの一人者である、 ilovetypography.comのJohn Boardley（ジョン・ボードリー）氏が Web Directions East の無料版 イベントであるWDE-Express Vol .9で、アップルストア銀座で「タイポグラフィーの大切さ」を講演します。講演では、文字の起源、タイポグラ フィーの歴史、タイポグラフィーが大切な理由、そして、より素晴らしいタイポグラフィーを作る方法を説明します。！\n
\n\n講演自体は英語で 行われますが、逐次通訳をWDE主催メンバーである長谷川恭久さんがおこないますので、英語が苦手な方でも気軽に参加いただけます。この機会にご興味のある方は 、本ページにて表明をお願いいたします。\n
